About Temple ASDA.
ASDA introduces students to lifelong involvement in organized dentistry and provides services, information, education, representation and advocacy. At both the chapter and national levels, ASDA provides resources, guidance, and leadership possibilities to all members. The wide variety of opportunities for participation make ASDA a truly unique experience.
National ASDA.
ASDA provides a variety of benefits for all its members. These range from the various lunch and learns held throughout the year to the vendor fairs to the events hosted by our local chapter. Also included is an ADA membership and its benefits, which cover disability insurance and looking over contracts for students who may be signing on as an associate. Chapter Leaders.
Temple ASDA sends chapter leaders and members to convene with students from other dental schools a few times every year. These events include the National Leadership Conference held in Chicago, ASDA’s Annual Session held in Orlando, and National Dental Student Lobby Day in Washington D.C. As a members of District 3, we meet with other dental students from Penn, Pitt, Howard, and Maryland to discuss organized dentistry, make life-long friends, and enjoy the great outdoors at Camp Hebron!
Local Chapter.
The local chapter is by far our busiest aspect of ASDA. From our outreach opportunities with elementary schools and hospitals, to our just-for-fun events like the ASDA BBQ and the Kornberg Cookoff, to our networking and continuing education Lunch and Learns, there is something for everyone! In addition to those ASDA favorites, we have other committees for advocacy, pre-dental outreach, wellness, alumni relations, the ASDA newsletter, and continuing education.
As a unified voice representing 22,000 members and 90 percent of dental students, we look forward to collaborating with leaders across the country.
